Professional Services

"Architectural and engineering services" or "professional services" means professional services rendered by any person, other than as an employee of the agency, contracting to perform activities within the scope of the general definition of professional practice in RCW chapters 18.08 (Architects), 18.43 (Engineers and Land Surveyors), or 18.96 (Landscape Architects). The Port of Bellingham generally contracts for Professional Services in two ways:  

Consultant Roster (<$25K)
The Port of Bellingham is authorized to utilize the Municipal Research and Services Center (MRSC) Consultant Roster for projects estimated under $25K. To be eligible to work on projects using a roster process, you are required to register for FREE at www.mrscrosters.org and select the Port of Bellingham in your account. If you are already a member of MRSC Rosters, simply select Port of Bellingham in your account. For registration questions, please contact MRSC Rosters at mrscrosters@mrsc.org or 206-436-3798.

Request For For Professional Services (>$25K)
The Port of Bellingham follows a Request For Professional Services (RFPS) process for all projects estimated over $25K. Projects are advertised in the Bellingham Herald “Public Notices” section and on the Port of Bellingham’s website.
