Port Commission Selects 2013 Officers

Port Commissioner Jim Jorgensen was selected to serve as President of the Port's Board of Commissioners for 2013. The Commissioners voted on his selection during their first meeting of the new year and also chose Commissioner Michael McAuley to serve as Vice President and Commissioner Scott Walker to serve as Secretary.

Also at their meeting, Commissioners voted to continue holding their regular meetings at 3 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

In other appointments, the Commissioners selected Jorgensen to serve on the Board of the Whatcom Council of Governments. They chose Walker to continue serving as a Trustee for the Washington Public Ports Association, where he also is on the Executive Committee. McAuley was chosen to serve on the Whatcom County Economic Development Investment Program.
