Port Economic Development
The Port of Bellingham places a high priority on promoting sustainable economic vitality for Whatcom County. The Port invests directly in developing retail, commercial and industrial properties in order to attract new businesses to the community which provide family-wage jobs. The Port is also working closely with other community governments to strengthen existing businesses, to generate new economic development, and to achieve the type of sustainable growth the community supports. By promoting sustainable economic development, the Port is enhancing Whatcom County’s national reputation as an ideal place to live, work, and play.
