Celebrate the Season at the
2006 Holiday Port Festival
December 1 - 3
Bellingham Cruise Terminal
355 Harris Avenue, Bellingham
The Holiday Port Festival will fill the Bellingham Cruise Terminal with music, dancing and gingerbread houses December 1 – 3. Everyone is invited to enjoy this fun community event, which is free of charge and open to all.
Music groups and dance performers from around Whatcom County take center stage each day of the festival filling the building with the sights and sounds of the season. During the three-day festival, more than 1,100 local performers will help ring in the season.
The 11th Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest and Silent Auction will be featured this year at Holiday Port. Beautifully decorated and creatively designed ginger-structures by local families, students, professional bakers and businesses will be on display and have the opportunity to be featured in a silent auction throughout the Holiday Port Festival. Auction proceeds will go to the Mt. Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross. Due to the inclement weather, the deadline and contest entry forms will be accepted through December 1.
Judging will take place on Friday, December 1 and ribbons will be awarded in all categories. Prizes donated from local merchants: Brenthaven, Heininger Automotive, The Bunch Store and Village Books will be award to all first place winners. The public is invited to vote for their favorite gingerbread structure in the “People’s Choice Award”, where the winner will receive 2 round trip cruises including dinner donated by Victoria San Juan Cruises. Voters will be entered into a free drawing with a chance to win a KAFE 104.3 Radio Prize Pack.
Entry forms and rules are available at the following locations and in all Port offices or by downloading the 2006 Gingerbread Entry Form
