[Bellingham, Wash.] Spend quality family time this Thanksgiving weekend making a gingerbread house with your loved ones. This is a fun, creative activity for all ages, and you can enter your gingerbread structure in our free gingerbread house contest to compete for prizes. Many of the entries are donated in a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Mount Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross. All the ginger-structures will be on display at the 18th Annual Holiday Port Festival at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal December 5-7. The free, family-friendly event will feature music, dancing and performances by local bands and choirs, free horse-drawn wagon rides, pictures with Santa, a gingerbread house display and more! This year the festival is also hosting a food drive for the Bellingham Food Bank. Donate non-perishable food items at the festival and receive a free photo keychain from Artiem Photography.
