Goals
The goals of the Technology Development Center are:

• Attracting federal research grants and contracts to enhance Western Washington University's (WWU) applied research capacity
• Developing on-site training through Bellingham Technical College to craft a workforce for the future
• Enhancing the ability of WWU's College of Sciences and Technology to carry out research and development projects in partnership with regional technology-driven industries
• Integrating and coordinating community resources to stimulate the growth of technology-dependent business
• Increasing the concentration of leading-edge and diversified marine, transportation, and related industries on the waterfront
• Targeting small- to medium-sized businesses utilizing state-of-the-art technology to improve processes and products
