Activities & Events
The Holiday Port Festival is a free, family-friendly event held December 6, 7, 8 2013 at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. This is the Port’s signature event for the community and includes:

Art activities with Allied Arts teaching artists Fire truck and horse-drawn wagon rides Free cookies and hot apple cider

Free performances by local choirs, bands, and dancers Gingerbread house display Visit with Santa and Mrs Claus, with the option to purchase photos from Turner Photographics

There will also be a food drive to benefit the Bellingham Food Bank, so bring non-perishable food items to help fight hunger.

Gingerbread House Contest

The gingerbread house contest is free and open to bakers of all abilities and ages. Our optional themed category is "Landmarks" and anyone, of any age, and any group size, may choose to enter the theme category instead of one of the other categories. Don't want to follow the theme? You don't have to. Just pick from one of the other categories. Many adults and children make a tradition out of entering the contest, and prizes are awarded for first place in each of the contest categories.

Key gingerbread house contest dates:

Entry Form Deadline: Monday, Dec. 2, 2013

Edible Structure Delivery Date: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013

Display Dates: Friday through Sunday Dec.6-8, 2013

Many of the gingerbread house contest entries are donated to a silent auction that runs throughout the three-day festival. Proceeds benefit our local Mount Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross. The event also includes a food drive for the Bellingham Food Bank.

Performances
There will be performances by local bands, choral groups, and dance groups all weekend! A full list of activities for each day of the festival will be listed here in December.
