The Economic Development Division works to attract and retain jobs and private investment in Whatcom County.  Staff manage business recruitment and expansion leads, working closely with partner organizations and communities across the county. 
 
As the state-designated Associate Development Organization for the county the Port is responsible to serve companies that would like to operate anywhere in the county, and promote Whatcom County as a place to do business.

The Port has tools and access to resources to help growing companies be successful.
