The Portal Container Village

The Portal is Whatcom County's container village. Located in the heart of the downtown waterfront, the Portal is home to a vibrant group of local businesses and vendor pop up shops operating out of metal shipping containers.

The Portal Container Village has something for everyone! Spend your day riding the Pump Track with a Sun-E-Land Bike, try your miniature golfing skills at Portal Putt, peruse the Rotating Container Shops for specialty gifts, or refresh with a cup of coffee and pastry from Our Kitchen. Looking for something delightful to eat? A whole spectrum of savory and sweet bites can be found on site. From Selkie Scoop Ice Cream to Pizza at Zeeks, burgers at Rain or Shine Riviera Club or other delectable dishes at one of our 4 food trucks. After a full day, kick back with a pint at Kulshan Trackside or a glass of wine at Bin 13. Whatever you’re feeling, we've got you covered!

Not only is the Portal a guaranteed unique experience for all, but it's also family friendly and pet friendly. Plan your next visit to the Portal. Check out our Events Calendars or see below to learn more about the site.
