Opportunity:  Public Art Site Available for Native Artwork on Port of Bellingham property, Bellingham WA. 

Location:  Bellwether on the Bay.  The Bellwether planned development is an excellent location on the waterfront with well-maintained walking trails along the shoreline, a superb “neighborhood” featuring waterfront offices, fine dining, a 66 room luxury hotel and the Tom Glenn Common public park.  This Public Art Site is located on the water-side of 23 Bellwether Way and adjacent to the public promenade.

Background:  This Public Art Opportunity for Native Artwork is unique and exclusive.   The site is “as-is”.

Proposals:   The Port is seeking individuals or businesses to provide proposals for Native Artwork.  The Port’s funding is not to exceed $30,000.00, inclusive.  This Native Artwork is to be the focal point of this Public Art Site for public enjoyment.  Our vision is to create a vibrant community gathering place at this Public Art Site.

    Approximately 15-acre industrial zoned site including 7 acres of uplands and 8 acres of tide and submerged lands with deep water access
    Three piers totaling over 65,000 square feet and providing up to 8 berths totaling over 2,000 lineal feet of moorage, capable of mooring up to three large dry-dock facilities and other vessels.
    Over 80,000 square feet of buildings including fabrication shops, warehouse, offices, and paint, sand blast and water treatment facilities.

  •   Marketing and negotiating the lease, rental or sale of the Port's available land and buildings through all Port divisions,Including Aviation Marinas, Maritime, and The Waterfront District.
  •   Assisting other divisions in the strategic long-range analysis and marketing of undeveloped real estate assets of the Port and negotiating tenant participation in environmental clean-up projects.
