Planning Your Visit:

COVID Precautions are still in effect. Effective masks, limited capacity, open windows for ventilation and personal hygiene are still important to keeping our community safe.

Due to our limited capacity, we highly encourage people to create an appointment online at

We continue to require face coverings for all staff, volunteers, and visitors, except for children under age 2. Children under 2 will be allowed to enter with their guardian unmasked, but all humans older than 2 are expected to wear a mask in our space, regardless of vaccination status.

Capacity will be capped at 8 visitors total. Only one group is able to visit with us at a time. Children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

We are a very popular destination, occasionally we have space for a walk in group to visit, but to ensure you get a chance to explore with us, please book in advance. If an appointment cancels we may have space for a walk in group to join us. Walk in visitors can add their name to our clipboard outside our front door to enter if there is space to join us.

All visitors will be expected to use either hand sanitizer or our handwashing station prior to exploring our exhibit.

Your visit will be timed, allowing a 20 minute visit for your group.

Guardians are expected to supervise their children at all times in the MLC.

We are not currently accepting donations, and there is no admission fee to visit.

If you are interested in scheduling for a school group, please email us at If your large group arrives without notice, it is unlikely we can accommodate you. Please contact us before visiting.

We are very excited to be opening up more, and thank you in advance for continuing to help us keep everyone safe and healthy as they learn more about our wonderful creatures of the Salish Sea.
