Update on Working Washington Small Business Emergency Grants for Whatcom County Businesses

Thank you to all of you who applied for the Washington Working Small Business Emergency (WWSBEG) Grant Program. We received over 700 applications representing a variety of sectors. Washington State Department of Commerce is only accepting a limited number of applications for each county due to the limited amount of funding. This was a very competitive process and whether an application was submitted to the next round of review in no way reflects that the small business’s economic impact was not valid nor significant. The demand was just greater than the funds made available to our community.

Our Team is committed to working with all of our businesses through these tough times. We will continue to identify and provide information on additional resources. Please check this page often for updates.

REP at the Port of Bellingham, the designated Whatcom County ADO, stopped accepting applications on Friday, April 10, 2020 at 5:00pm PST.
