Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Bellingham International Airport
BLI has two charging pedestals that service five designated EV parking spots. Each pedestal can charge two cars simultaneously for a total of four (4) vehicles at a time. Designated parking stalls are located in the main lot close to the commercial terminal. Reservations are required and can be made by clicking on this link.
Bellwether Peninsula
There is one EV charging station in the underground parking garage located at 9 Bellwether Way which can charge up to two vehicles at a time. There are also two Tesla chargers in the Bellwether hotel parking lot Fairhaven.
Fairhaven Station
There is one EV charging station across Harris Ave from the Fairhaven Station, in the long term parking lot. It can charge up to two vehicles at a time.
Blaine
There is an electric charging station on Peace Portal Way in downtown Blaine (not on Port property). The charging station was positioned to allow people to dine and shop in downtown Blaine. There is also a TESLA charging station at the International Mall at the corner of Birch Bay Lynden Road and Peace Portal Way. It has space for 10 cars to charge.
In 2023, the Port is installing a Level 2 Chargepoint charger outside the Port Harbor Office at 235 Marine Drive.
Squalicum Harbor
In 2023, the Port is installing a Level 2 Chargepoint charger outside the Fisherman's Pavilion (2599 S Harbor Loop, Bellingham) and another in the parking lot near 2615 S Harbor Loop, Bellingham.
Port Admin office 1801 Roeder Ave.
In 2023, the Port is installing a Level 2 Chargepoint charger outside our administration office at 1801 Roeder Avenue in Bellingham.
Whatcom County
The Port is working with Whatcom County, the Whatcom Council of Governments and others to determine priority areas and infrastructure needed to further the EV shift in Whatcom County. Maps of the existing chargers can be found through sites such as PlugShare, Chargepoint and EVHype.
