Beginning tonight, San Juan Cruises will be offering four community boat tours to give local residents a chance to learn about the future of Bellingham’s central waterfront. Representatives from the Port and City of Bellingham will be on hand to discuss the history of the waterfront and upcoming projects to clean-up historic contamination, increase public access to the water, and rebuild the waterfront economy. The tours will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on July 16, July 31, August 14 and August 28, departing from the Alaska Ferry Terminal in Fairhaven.
In addition to the community boat tours of Bellingham’s central waterfront, San Juan Cruises offers a variety of seasonal tours to explore and enjoy Pacific Northwest scenery and wildlife. Sunset cruises such as the Bellingham Bay BREWers Cruise and unWined on the Bay provide goers with a taste of the local scene while enjoying evening ambiance on Bellingham Bay. There are also various day cruises to surrounding Sucia and Whidbey Islands with opportunities to explore historic sites such as La Connor and Deception Pass as well as whale and bird watching opportunities.
