The Port of Bellingham’s Marine Life Center will be temporarily closed for roof repairs from August 7 until August 28th. The Marine Life Center, located on Bellingham’s central waterfront at 1801 Roeder Avenue, showcases marine life and habitat in Bellingham Bay and includes a popular touch pool where visitors are encouraged to touch hermit crabs, urchins and small fish. The mission of the center is to promote stewardship of Washington marine life through public interaction. The Marine Life Center will to re-open to the public on August 29th unless there are unforeseen work delays.
