Port Seeks Community Input on Two New Waterfront Designs

The Port Commission is evaluating two new options for improving public access through the downtown waterfront and would like to hear from the community before making a decision.  A brochure has been developed which details the differences between these two options.  The first, in a series of opportunities for community members to give their thoughts on a preferred park and road layout, will be held before the next Commission meeting on December 19th.  Community members can view the layouts and ask questions from noon-4 pm in the Harbor Center conference room, 1801 Roeder Avenue.  Public comments will be accepted during the Commission meeting at both 4 pm and 5:30 pm, and written comments can be submitted to waterfront@portofbellingham.com

The Port is scheduling a series of additional opportunities for the community to provide input and will post the schedule on this website as soon as it becomes available.  The Port Commission plans to select a preferred park and road layout at its February 6th meeting.
