Business Resources

The Port Economic Development Team will work directly with your established company to expand or grow into the county. The Port is the Associate Development Organization for the county, recognized by the Washington Department of Commerce as the lead contact with the state. 

There are also great partner organizations locally available to assist businesses during various stages of development - from start-up to operational - with direct counseling and mentoring services. Whatcom County has a number of trade organizations; chambers of commerce, and associations for technology industry and sustainable business, which provide affiliations for the diverse businesses in the county. Finance programs, grants and support for the smaller cities is a role the Port plays countywide.
