Weldcraft Habitat Bench

Project Components
The 2004 Weldcraft project transformed a vacant and contaminated boatyard into a clean, state-of-the-art facility by: 
  • Creating a two-acre habitat restoration bench, which provides valuable habitats for juvenile salmon and other wildlife 
  • Recycling maintenance dredging material to build the habitat restoration bench
  • Removing 215 creosote-treated pilings and more than 9,000 square feet of creosote-treated timbers from the marine environment 
  • Removing dilapidated structures
  • Removing more than 8,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediment from our waterfront
