The Port of Bellingham is updating the Bellingham International Airport Master Plan - a comprehensive study of the airport's future development needs. This section of the website is designed to keep the public informed of the process and provide opportunities for public comment on the plan via the public comment form.
A public hearing was held on the September 4, 2018 Commission meeting on the Airport Master Plan where a motion was unanimously approved with a 3-0 vote to accept and approve the Airport Master Plan to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for approval. The presentation and memo for the meeting can be viewed here.
The final draft was sent to the FAA for final review on August 9, 2019. The Port anticipates approval in the fall of 2019.
