The Port of Bellingham strongly supports safe and responsible boating practices. The port’s marinas have been designated as official Washington State clean marinas and offer many services to boaters to help protect the environment including: 

• Convenient waste collection and recycling facilities
• Mobile and fixed sewage pump-out stations
• Oil waste collection facilities
• Resources for proper boat maintenance and cleaning
• Read the Best Management Practices (BMP's) for practical and affordable ways to reduce pollution

No Discharge Zone

Puget Sound is a No Discharge Zone. The Port has supported this effort by supplying pumpout stations at our marinas and by providing information (click here to see the flyer) No Discharge Zone No Discharge Zone to all boaters, including moorage tenants.
