The Port has released a Draft of its Recreation, Conservation and Public Access Plan. This Plan is a 6-year vision and roadmap for Port recreational facilities which guides Port decisions on where to build new facilities, how to improve existing facilities, and where to make capital investments such as in marinas, visitor moorage and boat launches.
The Port will hold public meetings on its Draft Recreation, Conservation and Public Access Plan on Wednesday, November 15th at 5:30 pm at the Blaine Senior Center located at 763 G Street in Blaine, and also on Thursday November 16th at 5:30 pm at the Harbor Center Conference Room located at 1801 Roeder Avenue.
A public hearing to solicit comment on the Draft Recreation, Conservation and Public Access Plan will be held during the December 5th Port Commission meeting in the Harbor Center Conference Room. Port Commission meetings start at 4 pm.
The Port is accepting written comments on its Draft Recreation, Conservation and Public Access Plan as part of the public process, which can be e-mailed to Greg McHenry or mailed to his attention at 1801 Roeder Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225. All comments should be submitted by December 5th, 2017.
