Northwest Tune-Up Bike and Music Festival Returns to Bellingham's Waterfront in 2024

A Port-sponsored event, the Northwest Tune-Up festival, has announced the release of early bird ticket sales, limited on-site VanLife camping and discounted hotel rates for the 2024 festival. Welcoming cycling and music enthusiasts from around the world to the third annual Northwest Tune-Up, July 12–14, 2024. A unique, outdoor festival held in Bellingham’s Downtown Waterfront District that brings together the industry’s best cycling brands, top-tier musicians, and award-winning craft brewers to one of North America’s most iconic cycling destinations.

Early Bird Weekend Passes on Sale Now

Tickets to Northwest Tune-Up are on sale now, including three-day early bird, three-day VIP and single-day passes. All three ticket tiers include access to bike demos, bike shuttles to nearby trailheads, bike clinics, premier spectator access to multiple bike competitions, family-friendly activities and venue access to the music stage.

Three-day early bird passes are $135 for adults (ages 18+) and $50 for youth (ages 13–17). Tickets increase to $165 for adults and $60 for youth on May 14, 2024. Kids 12 and under receive free entry with a paying adult.

A limited number of three-day VIP early bird passes provide festival goers with less lines, more shade and more opportunities to chill. VIP tickets include all the benefits of a three-day pass, plus: priority festival entry, a free 2024 festival poster, exclusive outdoor lounge access with ample shade and comfortable seating, priority beverage service, complementary zero-alcohol beverages and private portable restrooms. VIP ticket holders must be 21 or older on the date of VIP entry. Early bird VIP ticket sales end May 13, 2024 or when 100 tickets have been reserved, whichever comes first.

Single-day passes are $80 (adult) and $35 (youth). Kids 12 and under receive free entry with a paying adult.

Additional ticket tiers, including music-only access tickets, will be released in the coming months. All tickets are available at nwtuneup.com 

VanLife Camping and Hotel Accommodations

A limited number of on-site VanLife camping spots are now available for reservation. VanLife camping at Northwest Tune-Up is the closest and most convenient space for nomadic travelers who prefer to sleep in their van, small RV or rooftop tent. An on-site camp host, private portable restrooms, handwashing stations and off-site shower access are provided. Located next to active train tracks, campers are encouraged to bring earplugs and a sense of humor. VanLife camping reservations are $250 per vehicle for four nights of camping. A separate three-day festival pass is required. VanLife can accommodate 50 vehicles or RVs, and camping is expected to sell out quickly. Northwest Tune-Up has also partnered with local hotels to offer exclusive room rates for festival goers. Participating hotels include Four Points by Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Suites at the Bellingham Airport, Best Western Plus at the Bellingham Airport, Hampton by Hilton, Home2 Suites, Fairhaven Village Inn, and Springhill Suites. To access the festival’s special lodging rates, ticket holders must book their hotels online through the links on Northwest Tune-Up’s accommodation webpage or by calling participating hotels and asking for the 2024 Northwest Tune-Up group rate. What’s in Store for 2024

In 2023, Northwest Tune-Up hosted nearly 10,000 cycling and music fans of all ages throughout the weekend from around the globe. Festival organizers anticipate thousands more festival goers at the 2024 event and are using feedback from festival attendees to further enhance the 2024 event by welcoming more cycling brands, expanding daytime activities, refining the festival layout, and implementing additional logistical improvements.

Headliner bands will be announced soon. Hunter Motto, Talent Buyer at Seattle’s famed Crocodile music venue, is once again curating the music lineup for Northwest Tune-Up. Motto is responsible for bringing past acts to the Northwest Tune-Up stage including The Crystal Method, Galactic feat. Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, STRFKR, Cut Chemist with Chali 2na, PJ Morton, Wolf Parade and other top-tier musicians.
