The Port of Bellingham 4th of July Festival is Coming

The Port and Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Kulshan Brewing, are glad to announce the annual Port of Bellingham 4th of July Festival, Whatcom County’s largest, most popular Independence Day event, drawing celebrants from all over Washington State. The free festival will kick off at the Downtown Waterfront, with Kulshan Trackside as the official beer garden, kids’ activities and games at the Peter Paulson Stage and a variety of food vendors at The Portal container village.

Starting at 2:00 pm, enjoy a family-friendly assortment of yard games like giant Connect 4, bubble wands, and hula hoops. Inner Child Studios will be in the park providing FREE interactive activities as well as the Bellingham Circus Guild and face painting by Cynthia Poppe with Wear Art Thou . You can also bring your bikes and ride the pump track, or play on the playground at Waypoint Park.

Kulshan’s Trackside Beer Garden opens at 11am, and is a family friendly location. Please note that the kids zone will be outside of the beer garden and no alcohol may leave the beer garden.

There will be a fun mix of bands that will entertain the crowds from the Trackside Beer Garden stage, starting at 4pm. Hungry celebrants can purchase refreshments from local food vendors, including Hungry Street, Lumpia Luv, Simmering Tava, Sammies Vegan, and Kona Ice.

Festivities will peak at dusk, around 10:30 PM, with Whatcom County’s largest, most impressive fireworks show, thanks to the Port of Bellingham, this year’s title sponsor.

While VERY limited parking is available at the Downtown Waterfront, attendees are encouraged to bike, walk, or park in neighboring areas to come down to the event.
